At the Alberta Cancer Foundation, we are Albertans helping Albertans—Albertans from every community, facing every cancer type, and from every walk of life. As the fundraising partner for every cancer centre in Alberta, we support world-class research and programs that aim to improve the cancer journey for Albertans facing cancer and their families.
Thanks to donor support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s More Hope Movement, we are able to fund programs that focus on reducing disparities in cancer treatment and care in underserved populations across Alberta. Programs like the Cancer Patient Navigation Program and the Patient Financial Assistance Program, which help Albertans who due to geographical, cultural, financial or other barriers, may have trouble accessing appropriate care. These programs improve the overall patient experience and provide guidance and support to those who need it most.

Patient Financial Assistance Program.
Cancer Patient Navigation Program.
The Cancer Patient Navigation Program connects Albertans facing greater barriers to care with registered nurses specially trained in cancer support. From the moment a patient is referred to an oncologist, cancer patient navigators help them understand their diagnosis, manage symptoms, coordinate care and access community supports.
